Additionally, the temperature control was ineffective, holding at 71°F despite being set to cool at 68°F with the fan on Auto, leaving the space uncomfortable. Cleanliness and maintenance were also significant concerns. We arrived to find crumbs on the couch, and more alarmingly, a leaking ceiling in one of the bathrooms. We were never given a clear explanation as to whether the leak was caused by an overflowing tub or toilet water from the unit above, nor were we assured of proper sanitation measures. The leak filled half of our garbage bin, and after maintenance left, we had to use all the bathroom towels to dry the floor, sink, and toilet ourselves. Communication throughout our stay was frustrating. Despite multiple attempts to call the listed phone number, we never received a response—only an email stating, “You can message us directly here for an immediate response.” However, even after messaging about the unclean conditions, the sanitation concerns from the leak, and requesting a credit, we received no resolution. Additionally, we experienced unnecessary stress regarding the presence of a service dog. We received conflicting information from the front desk and security, which took time to resolve on the first day. Then, on Saturday, an altercation occurred between security and a guest in our party regarding the service dog, which escalated unnecessarily. While it was eventually resolved in our favor, the experience was distressing and further impacted our stay. She was asked to leave the property because she had a service dog which was approved and is illegal.
